Last September, at the residence of the Romanian ambassador to Washington,
DC, Mr. Sorin Ducaru, Stefan Minovici, President & CEO of MIC &
Associates met with Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on the occasion
of the appointment of the new US ambassador to Romania, Mr. James
Crouch II.
During this meeting, Mr. Minovici discussed current events tied
to the ongoing conflict in Iraq and the role played by NATO's newest
member, Romania, in strengthening the Alliance in Central Eastern
Europe.
Secretary Rumsfeld expressed his gratitude for the role played by
Romania after 9/11 and the contribution made by the Romanian armed
forces in the fight against terrorism and dictatorship in Afghanistan
and Iraq.
The Romanian ambassador Sorin Ducaru was honored by the visit of
Secretary Rumsfeld just before his departure to Istanbul for the
NATO Summit and vowed to continue his government's efforts to defend
the interest of all European nations and the United States against
terror and political instability.

The second edition of the Black Sea Defense & Aerospace Exhibition and Conference will be held between September 24 – 26 in Bucharest. The exhibition is dedicated to aerospace, defense, homeland security and safety.
BSDA 2008 is officially supported by the Romanian Government and is the only exhibition in Romania certified by the US Department of Commerce. The exhibition is organized with the support of the US Embassy in Bucharest.

NATO Summit
The NATO summit, held in Bucharest between April 2-4, 2008, was the largest international event of this kind ever hosted by Romania. The event gathered in Bucharest all heads of states or governments from all the 26 member states, including USA’s president, George W. Bush, the British prime-minster, Gordon Brown, the French president, Nicolas Sarkozy and the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.

MIC & Associates, representing Raytheon International for ATMS, Homeland Security and Integrated Defense Systems, was present at Expomil 2007. The fifth edition of Expomil - The International Exhibition of Military Equipment - was held between October 18th-21st at the Romexpo Exhibition Centre, Bucharest.
